My wife found this NY Daily News clipping dated 6/14/48 while cleaning out the desk.

Thought I'd share it with ya'll.  I remember seeing it in my Dad's stuff when I was a kid, but didn't know where

it wound up.  I have no idea how I got it.

How tall was the Babe? Don't look 6 foot in the pitcher.

how much do yall think the babe would be worth in today's game? I don't mean if he was playing now but if the money was the same, what would it take to get him on your team?

Weel the Res Sox sold him to the Yankees in 1919 for $125,000 - in 1919.  I have no idea what that would equate to these days but I am sure it would be a lot.

Babe Ruth is, hands down, the greatest baseball player that ever lived!

Don't have a clue cause I can't count that high $$$$$$$$$$$$$$$$$$$$$$...but rest assured, the Steinbrenners would have him in the "pinstripes".  ;D

I know it was a big deal because he started making more than the President. Now even the nobody's make more than him.
