BMTSoulja1 Posted January 4, 2009 Report Posted January 4, 2009 Best 2 to me is: Ozen LC-M Worst 2: West Brook Legacy
whsalum Posted January 4, 2009 Report Posted January 4, 2009 Best- Kirbyville Worst- Broaddus (old gym) Some folks are confusing this one with Brookelands). This gym was flat out dangerous if you dove for a loose ball.

Best: Evadale - but a very similar gym would be Kirbyville's. Evadale's has a little better viewing IMO. Worst: Staying away from that concept in 2009 (resolution, you know). Besides, got "Smited" too many times last year expressing negative opinions. I'm all about Karma this year. You people just don't understand us ole folks.
Guest ST4life Posted January 5, 2009 Report Posted January 5, 2009 Do you know of any school that has plans to build a new gym?
AggiesAreWe Posted January 5, 2009 Report Posted January 5, 2009 Do you know of any school that has plans to build a new gym? Hardin-Jefferson and East Chambers are building new ones. Kountze just finished their's this year, it's nice. I imagine Port Arthur Memorial will have a new one next year also.
Bobcat1 Posted January 5, 2009 Report Posted January 5, 2009 Add Kountze to my list of 'Best Gyms.' [move]# 1000![/move]
The1 and only Posted January 5, 2009 Report Posted January 5, 2009 sabine pass is building one thats suppose to be way up off tha ground. ill take evadales as the best and chesters as the worst. ive been to alot of 4a and 3a games and evadales beats theirs by a long shot
mactiger Posted January 5, 2009 Report Posted January 5, 2009 brookeland old gym was the worst gym in the good old USA Maybe in Southeast Texas but not the USA.  There was a gym I used to play  basketball in out in the West Texas town of Presidio.  I know I called it a gym but it was really more of a cafeterium.  Tile floor, no bleachers and just restrooms to dress in.  BAD
Bucof2010 Posted January 5, 2009 Report Posted January 5, 2009 I like how Kountze bleachers fold up so they have the practice court behind them thats pretty sweet.
88Warrior Posted January 5, 2009 Report Posted January 5, 2009 Do you know of any school that has plans to build a new gym? A new gym will be part of Warren's new high school complex.
Guest hoops12 Posted January 5, 2009 Report Posted January 5, 2009 Has anyone been to the Pearland High School gym? They have a very nice facility
Master T Posted January 5, 2009 Report Posted January 5, 2009 I seen there gym last year. It is a real nice facility
rhino1877 Posted January 5, 2009 Report Posted January 5, 2009 Deweyville's is nice or Spurger's is nice for a 1A or and  Woodville's is Good. Worst: got to be the old TJ bball court was BAD!.
RonBurgundy68 Posted January 5, 2009 Report Posted January 5, 2009 Vidor's is good... The new gym, not the old one...
ForeverADog Posted January 6, 2009 Report Posted January 6, 2009 I don't like LC-M floor but the painting of the bears is really nice. It sort of intimidates you when you walk in.
Icky3284 Posted January 6, 2009 Report Posted January 6, 2009 WORST: Hardin's Old Gym- It had the stands that where above the court, so you couldn't see the action, and there was no room between the sidelines and the bleacher walls. And the worst part was that the floor was warped (and Im talking big bubbles on the floor), so in certain spots when you dribble the ball would bounce away from you. ABSOLUTELY HORRIBLE!!!!! Honorable Mention: The design and seating capacity of the New Hardin Gym- What was their adminstration thinking? Spending $$$ to build a new gym, and make it where you can only seats like 100 people (ok maybe 110, LOL) makes no sense.Â
Guest curtissimo Posted January 6, 2009 Report Posted January 6, 2009 I know this is pretty up north...but has anyone by chance seen "the Coliseum" in Tatum... I believe it is one of the best I have seen ever... 8) now the worst...ehhh,,,some of ya'll should take a trip to Groveton Centerville...hahahahaha ;D or maybe Brookelands old gym, new one's not much better..no visitor dressing rooms, new seating has fans basically on the court during the game... Â :-\ I feel you on that one. Tatums is beast. And Groveton centervilles has got to be the worst. Just horrible.
Dr_Hoops_08 Posted January 6, 2009 Author Report Posted January 6, 2009 Best- Kirbyville Worst- Broaddus (old gym) Some folks are confusing this one with Brookelands). This gym was flat out dangerous if you dove for a loose ball. ya Broaddus' old gym is pretty bad..but I was meaning Brookelands when i talked about the worst gym...but Broaddus and Brookelands old gyms are pretty much identical..right down to the poles and low ceilings..lol
Cowboy4jc Posted January 6, 2009 Report Posted January 6, 2009 I don't like LC-M floor but the painting of the bears is really nice. It sort of intimidates you when you walk in. No kidding. That floor is hidious.
PoppaBearstarr Posted January 7, 2009 Report Posted January 7, 2009 Evedale's gym by far is the best one I have seen... I wish HJ could have one like that.
