KFDM COOP Posted January 7, 2009 Report Posted January 7, 2009 Guy Morriss New Football Coach at A&M-Commerce... Guy Morriss has been introduced as the next head football coach at Texas A&M-Commerce. Morriss replaces Scotty Conley, who was fired after a 24-27 record over 5-years in Commerce. Morris most recently has been the offensive line coach at Kentucky State, a Division II program, after his time as head coach in Waco, from 2003-2007 when the Bears were 18-40. Morris graduated from TCU in 1973, spent 15-years in the NFL with the Eagles, ('73-'83), and Patriots, ('84-'87). He was at the University of Kentucky prior to his tenure at Baylor, where he was 9-14 in 2-years. Texas A&M Commerce was 5-5 last season, but has a long history with 44-players who have played in the National Football League.
