Deweyville7281 Posted January 9, 2009 Report Posted January 9, 2009 On Friday night Jan. 9th the Deweyville Pirates (11&12), (1&2) traveled to Buna and lost 64 to 57. Buna jumped out to a 19 to 9 first quarter lead and extended it to 35 to 20 at halftime. We would like to congratulate the Cougars on a well played game. Score by quarter DV 9 20 32 57 B 19 35 45 64
whsalum Posted January 10, 2009 Report Posted January 10, 2009 I expected Buna to win a couple of district games this year but I didn't see this one coming.This may seriously cripple Deweyvilles chances at the 3rd playoff spot.EC may be the frontrunner now for that last spot.

Yes, give Buna credit for the win they came out on fire. The Pirates could not hit the broad side of a barn with their shooting, just awful, no defense, just and overrall bad game. This could either be a wakeup or cause a collapse. Hopefully the Pirates will right the ship and play with some intensity and urgency in the coming weeks.
