dccurtis Posted January 11, 2009 Report Posted January 11, 2009 i pick Navasota to win the region and beat the already crowned state champions.. but hj and Cleveland will be right in the running as well
Guest ST4life Posted January 11, 2009 Report Posted January 11, 2009 i pick Navasota to win the region and beat the already crowned state champions.. but hj and Cleveland will be right in the running as well I pick Silsbee to prove you wrong........ ;D
PoppaBearstarr Posted January 12, 2009 Report Posted January 12, 2009 I hope the tigers get some of Navasota this year, They are tough to beat.
AggiesAreWe Posted January 12, 2009 Report Posted January 12, 2009 The runnerup in our district would face Navasota in the second round, providing that our runnerup wins their first round game. Navasota gets the bye in the first round. Of course, the Rattlers would have to win their district first, which they should.
PoppaBearstarr Posted January 12, 2009 Report Posted January 12, 2009 But it might not be the runner up that faces them... it may be the co-champs that come in on that side of the brackets...there could be no runner up....if that makes any sense :

I correct myself and say the #2 seed will play Navasota in the second round.
ForeverADog Posted January 12, 2009 Report Posted January 12, 2009 By looking at that it will be a long hard road for Silsbee or HJ just to get to Austin. I dont think its a given that one of those two teams makes it like a lot people think on here but dont get me wrong I hope one of them go.
Bobcat1 Posted January 12, 2009 Author Report Posted January 12, 2009 Huntington fell out of the top 20 this week and Liberty Hill is now #20
AggiesAreWe Posted January 12, 2009 Report Posted January 12, 2009 Huntington fell out of the top 20 this week and Liberty Hill is now #20 Yes Huntington did drop out but Lufkin Hudson replaced them. Also, Liberty Hill was #20 last week also but they are in Region 2, not 3.
Lazeek Posted January 12, 2009 Report Posted January 12, 2009 Here is how I would rank a few of the 3A teams from Region 3...... 1. Cleveland 2. Silsbee 3. Navasota 4. Lufkin Hudson 5. Hardin-Jefferson 6. Huntington ----REVISED----

AggiesAreWe Posted January 12, 2009 Report Posted January 12, 2009 Navasota did lose some scoring and rebounding when Dexter Pratt enrolled at LSU this semester. He avg. 16 points and 6 rebounds for them last year.

Speaking of the "big kid", word is he hasn't been playing much, some on and off the court problems.
