i pick Navasota to win the region and beat the already crowned state champions..  but hj and Cleveland will be right in the running as well

I pick Silsbee to prove you wrong........ ;D

The runnerup in our district would face Navasota in the second round, providing that our runnerup wins their first round game. Navasota gets the bye in the first round. Of course, the Rattlers would have to win their district first, which they should.

But it might not be the runner up that faces them... it may be the co-champs that come in on that side of the brackets...there could be no runner up....if that makes any sense ::)

Certainly it does. I correct myself and say the #2 seed will play Navasota in the second round.

By looking at that it will be a long hard road for Silsbee or HJ just to get to Austin. I dont think its a given that one of those two teams makes it like a lot people think on here but dont get me wrong I hope one of them go.

Huntington fell out of the top 20 this week and Liberty Hill is now #20

Yes Huntington did drop out but Lufkin Hudson replaced them. Also, Liberty Hill was #20 last week also but they are in Region 2, not 3.

Here is how I would rank a few of the 3A teams from Region 3......

1.  Cleveland

2.  Silsbee

3.  Navasota

4.  Lufkin Hudson

5.  Hardin-Jefferson

6.  Huntington

Exact same team that they had last year..........they had no Seniors last season.  They have a kid that is about 6'7 and 300 lbs and one of the best PG that I have seen.

Navasota did lose some scoring and rebounding when Dexter Pratt enrolled at LSU this semester. He avg. 16 points and 6 rebounds for them last year.

If this is the "big" kid then this will change my opinion of them drastically.

No, not the big kid but definetly a loss. Speaking of the "big kid", word is he hasn't been playing much, some on and off the court problems.
