He also has made at least two 3-pointers in six-straight games, with a season-high four against Southeastern La. on Saturday. He has grabbed at least 4 rebounds in eight-straight games. Jay Brown has posted three of his league-high four double-doubles in the last four games. The only game he didn't record one was at Memphis when he was three points shy. In his last five games he is averaging 12.8 points and 11.2 rebounds. With 12 rebounds against UTA he will be averaging a double-double for the season - he is currently at 13.5 ppg/9.8 rpg. Brandon McThay has made 29 3-pointers this season - one behind Kenny Dawkins' team-best 30 - but has come on strong in recent weeks. Since going 0-for-10 against Indiana State and Louisville in early Dec., he has led the Cards with a 14-of-33 from outside for a .424 percentage in the last five ball games. Ashton Hall is averaging 10.0 points per game and shooting .486 over the last five games. He was mired in a horrible shooting slump from outside to start the season, missing his first 12 attempts, but has made three of his last eight since. He is Lamar's best free throw shooter over the last five games, converting 92.9 pct. (13-of-14) of his freebies. Coy Custer is by far having his best season at Lamar, averaging 6.4 points and 3.7 rebounds in 14.7 minutes off the bench. He is also shooting a team-high .582 on 32-of-55. Those numbers have climbed even higher over the last five games to 16-of-23 for .696 while recording 8.8 ppg and 5.3 rpg. http://lamarcardinals.cstv.com/sports/m-baskbl/spec-rel/011309aaa.html
