KJB324 Posted August 30, 2006 Report Posted August 30, 2006 I was just wondering about WOS size this year. Some are saying they are bigger than usual but I have also seen many posts where they said WOS lacked size. I guess I take that to mean we are bigger but still small.
Guest Kelly Football Posted August 30, 2006 Report Posted August 30, 2006 Bigger. Not the biggest 3A team in the State but they are bigger than last season.
WVU Fan Posted August 31, 2006 Report Posted August 31, 2006 Their offensive line has 3 guys 250 or bigger. The defensive line has 2 starters over 250 and rotate a couple of people that weigh some where around 250. That's a little more size than they had last year.
Gasilla Posted August 31, 2006 Report Posted August 31, 2006 We have our starting tackle who quit for a couple of weeks and is now back but having to pay his dues to get back on the varsity. He is 6'2" and 270 lb. We also have another lineman who was supposed to be back this year from knee injury, but the doctor would not release him who is 6'4" and 300 lb. When you add those 2 we WOULD have been huge. We are still bigger than we usually are, but losing these 2 hurt our overall size some.
Guest etbu Posted August 31, 2006 Report Posted August 31, 2006 The aspect of the Wos team that has always impress me is the fact they are not scared to put a helmet in your chest. They are one of the most physical teams I have watched over the last couple of years.
SETXsports Broadcaster Posted August 31, 2006 Report Posted August 31, 2006 Clear case of Size envy...with good counsling and some potent medication we should be able to cure it by the end of the season
