ForeverADog Posted January 16, 2009 Report Posted January 16, 2009 I wouldn't go top 5. But he is a lot better than Jeff thats for sure!!!! My top 5 are: 1. Phil Jackson 2. Greg Popovich 3. Jerry Sloan 4. George Karl 5. Byron Scott All proven winners except Scott. He won as a player though and not long til New Orleans is on top.
shorttexas1 Posted January 28, 2009 Report Posted January 28, 2009 not with the down year they had last year AJ you dont know basketball... In the NBA a 50-win season is a very successful season (65% win percentage)... Boston won 66 games last year and no won else won more than 59. Last years record would have been good enough for 7th seed in the tough West and was 3rd seed in the east behind only Boston and Detroit! Especially good with a young team with no real PF anad in the coaches first year with the team... Jameer Nelson actually is looking like a PG after impersonating one throughout his entire career. He is making a line up with two small forwards starting work. And he has got guys that were never known for their defense to actually play defense... And he has incorporated a one dimensional player like JJ Redick, who can only shoot the into the line-up successfully. Oh and did I mention that Pat Riley robbed him of a championship, he was just as good at Miami! He is on the list but you do have... Phil Jacson Greg Pop Jerry Sloan George Karl Byron Scott Rick Adelman Doc Rivers Mike D'Antoni Don Nelson To consider!
