They are waiting to hear back from the AG, which they have 45 days from last Friday to give the answer. Now as stated yesterday Petitions were signed from alot of people yesterday and were sent in today to the AG so i would expect the answer anyday.

There are so many threads about the PNG situation that I don't know on which one to post. I would like to know the names but the board is not letting the list out for whatever reason. I am wondering when they are going to reveal the names and are they going to list all who filed or just the finalist or even just the winner. They are accused of doing somethin that they don't want the public to know. What ever the reason is I'm sure they will not release that either. However, if they do hire a primere coach that turns PNG into a perennial power maybe other school boards will try to copy PNG's board for their search when they need to hire a new coach. I think this subject has gone far enough and everyone should just wait for the board to reveal the name or names when they think it is appropriate. They have their reasons for doing what they are doing. We just don't know it yet.

Coop, no need to worry about it.  PNG will pick the right coach for the job.  Just be patient....time is on our side!

The media is whatswrong with our country today, they have too much freedom of press. They are just a evil as the papparatzi!!!!!! They can make or break you!!!!!!!!

I was wondering why the economy is so bad, the number of unemployed people has risen, and the governmental bailouts happened. Now I know! It's the media! Better blame the media too when you read the scores from Friday night. I'm not a media sympathizer but be realistic here. The Board is willingly and knowingly breaking the law and how did you find out about it? The media. Who is holding PNGISD accountable for breaking these laws? The media. Who is making sure that YOUR freedom to know what is going on is not being violated? So, in essence, the media are looking out for your liberties more than you are. Just a thought here....paper and ink are cheap. The way the PNGISD handled this situation is a lose/lose situation. All I can say is after the smoke clears, the Board better get used to even more scrutiny from the media outlets. This will not be pretty.

    I have talked to many PNG residents and I assure you that they are not happy at all about the deliberate refusal to adhere to the law. The parents I know say, and I quote, "What example do they think they are setting? They are acting the same way that the adminstrators discipline the students for."  Now THAT'S irony. I guess government classes are cancelled for the remainder of the school year.

They have 10 days!!! They have broken no laws.

Uhhh, yes. They HAVE broken the law. If they haven't broken the law then why go to the Attorney General to explain WHY they haven't released the list? A law has been broken. The Board knows they are in the wrong that's why they are forced to turn over the list. It's really simple...follow the rules that govern our nation or face the consequences. Which in this case will probably be a hefty fine. There was a precedent set by a Texas school regarding disclosure under the FOI, I'm not sure but I am positive it was way more than the Board is willing to pay the new AD. I hope the money used to pay the fine will not come out of the bond issue money. That will start a whole new discussion thread.

I think this coach would be a good fit for PNG but,personally I would stay where Im at if I was him because he has a good thing going where he is at. Thats just my opinion and thats also coming from a Proud PNG alum.

I do agree with you that this "list" thing is becoming redundant.  But, my question, is, how do you know who PNG wants for a HC?  I'm curious.  Reliable sources?  Talked to the applicant?  Any facts you can share?  This might put an end to these threads if you can give some credence to the subject.
