This might be one of the closest district races in the state this year. The six teams in this district are capable of defeating any other team on any given night.

Home court seems to be a big advantage as the home teams are 5-1 in two games so far. The Rebels get their first chance to break the trend as they play the Sharks on Friday night in their adopted home in Nederland and then on to HD next Tuesday. With Spurger coming to Evadale on the 30th things might have become a little clearer, but it is possible that it still might be a jumble as to which team rises to the top and who follows along for 2nd and 3rd.

I would not be surprised to see some of this drama played out in a playoff. We had a three way tie for volleyball earlier and we could be headed that direction again this time with boys basketball.

I will say this. The Rebels have battled and done what they needed to do over the last three games to win ball games. It is good to see that the team is responding to the difficulties and finding ways to overcome them. I would take exception to BigTimePlayer calling WH one "NOT" one of the top teams in the district since they did knock off SP last night.

All the 25A games should be great and hopefully the teams that do move on will benefit from the tough road they have to travel to get there.
