king Posted January 22, 2009 Report Posted January 22, 2009 If any Rockets fans been keeping an eye on him filling in for Tmac in the starting lineup. He is a beast! he is becoming more clutch had 21 last night against Utah and hit the game winning shot against the c's. now we see the future small forward for the rockets.
EAGLE07 Posted January 22, 2009 Report Posted January 22, 2009 You gotta love this guy. From hopeful to make the roster to starting and playing some serious round ball and becoming a fan favorite. Kid has a ton of talent. Huge part of the Rockets success. Hopefully, Wafer's play will allow T-Mac to get healthy for the stretch run and into the playoffs. If so, I believe the Rockets have a chance of making a deep run.
BMTSoulja1 Posted January 22, 2009 Report Posted January 22, 2009 ...is a BEAST! Enough said! I'm telling you, we may have found T-Mac's replacement. If we don't get out the first round, Wafer is the man. Bye bye, 'Broke Back' McGrady!
Guest Brubaker Posted January 23, 2009 Report Posted January 23, 2009 What's Wafer's story, where's he from?
SeTxTigers15 Posted January 23, 2009 Report Posted January 23, 2009 this guy came out of no where!!! i knew he had something in him when i watched him in the preseason, it was only a matter of time until he was given a chance
ForeverADog Posted January 26, 2009 Report Posted January 26, 2009 He is good but he for sure isn't T-Mac yet. He still needs time to develop a little more. Is outside game could be better. And he is very iffy on defense. Wafer has a great mid range game though. But as far as him being T-Mac? Come on! Rick Adelmon said he was the last guy to even make the team! Great surprise but not T-Mac. At least not yet.
shorttexas1 Posted January 28, 2009 Report Posted January 28, 2009 What's Wafer's story, where's he from? The kid is actually a Texas native... He went to Heriatage Christian in Cleveland, back when they were busted for recruitng. The kid was a scout.com top 150 coming out of high school... He was a scorer with the green light but he looked a little stiff... Then he went to Florida State and had two great seasons with them... He was decent. Then someone advised him that the league was interested. He was a second round pick and has been on the NBA carasel for the last 3 years. It is all about being put in the right situation, like Daniel Gibson.
