[Guest Powerlifting]

Coach Abshire put on another excellent meet with good judging and many top lifters. Also, Congrats to Coach Norman's Girls Powerlifting team for pulling a First Place, ahead of a fast rising Ozen team.

Coach abshire did put on another great meet.Bridge city girls came in third.Valerie Brown took 1st in the 198 class with a total of 920 in 3 lifts and Gabrielle Brown took 3rd in the 132 class with a total of 600 in 3 lifts.The BC girls looked good. We had a few missing this weekend.We will be ready for regionals.

Robert Johnson Jr. of Ned had a good meet. Total was 1310 in the 165 class, 1st place and only a soph. Josh Wright PNG 1st in 198 class, a man among boys. Not sure on his total but I think around 1600. Caleb Harmon PNG 1st in 181 class , not sure on total.

Is their a site to check out the  boys meet totals in the region. I have the one for the girls but the site I have for the boys have yet to update .

PN-G had an excellent meet, capturing their second 1st place team trophy this season.  Josh Wright placed 1st in the 198 lb. class, Caleb Harmon placed 1st in the 181 lb. class, Garrett Boudoin placed 4th in the 181 lb. class, Mikey Poirer placed 2nd in the 165 lb. class and Grant Guidry placed 1st in the 114 lb. class.  These guys, along with many others, paved the way for another great meet for PN-G.

This is the first year for PN-G to have a girl powerlifter.  Chelsea Hammonds has proven to be a great competitor by placing 2nd in the 132 lb. class at both the Nederland and West Brook meets.
