AggiesAreWe Posted January 27, 2009 Report Posted January 27, 2009 HJ wins 59-50 HJ--Benard 30 WOS--Davis 15 Great game for Benard, scoring over half of HJ's points.

setxslam Posted January 27, 2009 Report Posted January 27, 2009 They had the heat on in that gym. It was a sauna. I'm surprised kids weren't cramping. WO-S played with a lot of heart, and hit several deep threes to keep it interesting late-- kind of like what I'm expecting to see from Silsbee Friday night. Jarvis had a typical Jarvis night, Trey played well in all phases of the game, and Jacoby showed his usual crazy D. Nice job on the low block, Rico! Overall, that was a good, quality, road W.
Lazeek Posted January 27, 2009 Author Report Posted January 27, 2009 I would also like to add that the Davis kid #55 is a beast on the low block. He is the best post that I have seen in this area for 3A in several years. Ricossa did a great job playing D and he just kept making great moves and scoring. WOS should have got him the ball more often instead of taking poor jumpers.

It was working early and then we just stopped getting him the ball. #3 for HJ was a man amongst boys last night. Seems like we should have made someone else beat us. Overall good game. From what I saw the better team won. At least they were better last night.
Lazeek Posted January 28, 2009 Author Report Posted January 28, 2009 Thanks for the compliments. HJ is the better team and that is no doubt. Jarvis #3 is a great player and he just always seems to find ways. However I believe that HJ only had 1 player in double figures, but had 4 players that had 6-8 for the scoring for HJ. Other than JB getting 30 the team played OK last night. Still not shooting the ball very well. Better start finding more shots starting Friday night or HJ will suffer their first district loss of the season.
