Didn't Bum Phillips play on that team?My dad said he was a stud lineman from Beaumont-Bum got Lamar to sign my dad a rb from Liberty,Tx.

Skipper my dad is 80 now w/some memory loss but awhile back he told me Bum played at Beaumont High and both were on a Lamar football roster.After 1 semester dad transferred to Baylor came home,got married and in 49 I was born and that stopped his football.I will look at his HS scrap book to see what I can find and get back to you.
