CoachL Posted January 29, 2009 Report Posted January 29, 2009 PNG 4 HF 1 Lum 3 Central 1 LCM was up 1-0 vs Memorial at the half
RonBurgundy68 Posted January 29, 2009 Report Posted January 29, 2009 PNG 4 HF 1 Lum 3 Central 1 LCM was up 1-0 vs Memorial at the half Memorial won I think 4-1... Vidor played pathetically... Oh well, thats what non-district games are for... Completely opposite team than the one that played Tuesday night... Nederland scored in the first 30 seconds of the game...
Just another player Posted January 29, 2009 Report Posted January 29, 2009 Nederland showed up flat on tuesday, and came to play on thursday. I would say it was the other way around for vidor. Good luck to all the teams in the tournament.
wasone03 Posted January 29, 2009 Report Posted January 29, 2009 went to go see this vidor game cause i wanted to see the up/down things people were saying about nederland... all i can say is, UP... and was it calloway or wagner that left at halftime (never found out which is which) and for what reason?injury?sickness? something else?
ocm Posted January 29, 2009 Report Posted January 29, 2009 Sticking with my original prediction for tomorrow->NED stops Lumberton in their tracks 3 - zip.
RonBurgundy68 Posted January 29, 2009 Report Posted January 29, 2009 Sticking with my original prediction for tomorrow->NED stops Lumberton in their tracks 3 - zip. If Nederland plays the way they did today it will be a VERY GOOD game... But who knows... I got Lumberton 2-1
sharkfutbol Posted January 29, 2009 Report Posted January 29, 2009 I have to make sure I make the Lumber Ned game... Ned wins... 3-1 but I still holler for Sp and most the nedervile team........... before we head off to play St Pius ... for a share of the District Championship...... yikes.. so figure I will not sleep much tonight and will find myself out watching HF and Vidor.
soccermom Posted January 30, 2009 Report Posted January 30, 2009 Vidor 2 HF - 1 Vidor goals were made by T. Greenway and V. Ortega. Vidor plays LCM tomorrow @ 11:00
ocm Posted January 30, 2009 Report Posted January 30, 2009 NED and Lumberton tie at zero. At least I had the zero right. Proud of the way black and gold played the game as Lumberton seemed to gripe to dang much even between themselves. Starts at the top and I don't care what you say. Keeper on both sides were good, as were defenses. Don't know about shots (#s) on goal. Pity we don't see them again in district.
WTB Posted January 30, 2009 Report Posted January 30, 2009 Sounds like the guy at the top of Lumberton is doing a heck of a job considering he lost the best player in the area and 5 other starters. Also Nederland returned everyone but maybe one or two guys.
ocm Posted January 30, 2009 Report Posted January 30, 2009 A team is not judged just on their coaches ability to field a winner. Team discipline also plays a part. From what I witnessed they have some work to do. I don't care to knock a single coach as I know some of what's involved. I plain and simply call um like I see um. So WTB, get your story straight especially if you weren't at the contest.
RDRSCR08 Posted January 30, 2009 Report Posted January 30, 2009 So you can tell WTB to get his story straight because he wasnt at the game and then say one of the best, IMO, disciplinarians around has problems with discipline like you are there everyday. I believe WTB has the same right to "call em like he sees em" as you do. Right? I think it comes down to the fact that Lumberton has been used to some success as of late and the kids want to continue that. Emotions run a little high at times and i can guarantee you that the guy at the top will have them under control AND back on top quickly. I can judge a coach by doing the best he can with what he's got. So the guy at the top is pretty dang good at what he does in Lumberton. And if you dont know what he's got, you should probably stick to griping in the stands since you "Know some of what's involved" You are right that it is a pitty they dont see each other again................... TIL POSTSEASON!
katdaddy Posted January 30, 2009 Report Posted January 30, 2009 Who played a better game? I know it was 0-0, but who controlled the midfield, shots on goal, etc. I saw the first game and NHS was a better team on that day, though they lost 2-1. How was it this time, who controlled it? Or was it just a plain old 0-0 even game.
Just another player Posted January 30, 2009 Report Posted January 30, 2009 In my opinion first half was clearly nederland on top in the midfield and of possession but in the second half things evened out a little. It was definitely a good game though.
WTB Posted January 30, 2009 Report Posted January 30, 2009 Lumberton isnt a team that is gonna control the middle of the field and never has been in the last 3 years. They have alot of speed and use that to there advantage. Nederland has always been the different in that regard and where they lack in athletes they make up for in skill. And dont worry about Lumbertons disipline I promise you thats something that isnt a problem under Coach Luttrull and never has been. If there was a problem today then I'm sure it will be dealt with. I forgot we have all these Parcell like figures sitting in the stands around here. You must be pretty sore though since a rebuilding Lumberton has beatin and tied a Nederland team with so much seasoning. too bad Bay Callaway moved to Nederland bc then Lumberton would really be rocking.
sharkfutbol Posted January 31, 2009 Report Posted January 31, 2009 Yea give me SP or BC or any one of several other players and we go to the finals in state this year. So making the best of what we have. We still may do it. But any of the above players make it a sure thing...... ;D ;D
CoachL Posted January 31, 2009 Report Posted January 31, 2009 LCM 0 Vidor 0 PNG 2 Central 0 Lumberton 2 HF 1 Not sure about Ned and Memorial Boy we are beat down. 8 games in 9 days vs quality opponents! Thansk to PNG for having Lumberton this year...maybe next year we can get the games on the game field ;D
WTB Posted January 31, 2009 Report Posted January 31, 2009 calm down their huntfishsoccer. is it that time of the month?
reccosdog Posted January 31, 2009 Report Posted January 31, 2009 8 games in 9 days is tough on a team. Ned didn't play with much intensity this morning against PAM. The entire team saw a lot of playing time. Good thing is no injuries to speak of. What happened to LCM this weekend, some surprising scores?
soccermom Posted January 31, 2009 Report Posted January 31, 2009 I agree - several area teams have had a tough couple of weeks. Vidor is taking the next week off which I think is a good idea. They will be getting ready for district which starts on Feb. 10th. Good luck to all teams.
