Evolution Posted January 31, 2009 Report Posted January 31, 2009 Tuesday should be an great day for 25a The battle leaves land an heads out to sea as the Sharks takes on the Pirates. (Jmo the 2 best teams in district) Sharks-Jones,Wasson,Carlos Faces Pirates Magallion,Blankenship,Whittaker With Spurger having homecourt just might give them the edge they need to slay the Shark. But the Sharks have heart and will fight every second of the game. Without Whittaker and Magallion i can't see the Sharks losing but if they do play the favor is in Spurger hands
whsalum Posted January 31, 2009 Report Posted January 31, 2009 Whittacre is the key here.If he is healthy you don't beat Spurger at home.If not SP has the edge.
court side Posted January 31, 2009 Report Posted January 31, 2009 Most likely Whittaker and McGallion will not play in this one wont know till mon.Dont count this team out, these guys are playing terrific team ball and the defence has been great. I see another game played down to the wire, maybe another OT! GO pirates :) :)
whsalum Posted January 31, 2009 Report Posted January 31, 2009 What type injuries do Whittacre and McGallion have?
court side Posted January 31, 2009 Report Posted January 31, 2009 What type injuries do Whittacre and McGallion have? Whittaker has knee MRI mon. McGallion has a fractured elbow Gets evaluated again mon.
whsalum Posted January 31, 2009 Report Posted January 31, 2009 That's a pretty big blow, never like to see a young player hurt a knee.Hope they get a clean bill of health.
Guest Genesis Posted January 31, 2009 Report Posted January 31, 2009 This may be the "GAME OF THE YEAR." in my opinion. Winner is likely to take district. From what I have seen and heard, SP has a tendency to start out slow and that is not a good sign against Spurger. If SP played like it did in the second half against HD, watch out! Offensively, they penetrate very well. Defensively, they're not a physical team. Spurger is a very well coached team; they can be very explosive if they lined up the right "5", which I don't want to name "names" for strategic purposes. I like this district this year because of the talent level (pretty equal) among teams, and most of their games have been heart-throbbing. I believe there have been only two blow outs so far, and both of those were played last Friday, Spurger against Evadale and High Island against WH. By the way, congrats to HI.
wasson_25 Posted February 1, 2009 Report Posted February 1, 2009 I hope Spurger two starter get ready soon It would be nice to beat Spurger in Spurger but not when two starter are out but a win is a win and who's to say Sabine will even without them I just hope its a good game from start to finish and in the last few seconds the sharks pull it out ;D
apiolar Posted February 1, 2009 Report Posted February 1, 2009 sabine pass will need a lot of fan support for this road game. their fans seem to play a big part in all of there home games. if spurgers 2 stars are out imma take sabine pass by 8.

I am sure it will be a good game.
Guest THE SCOUTER Posted February 1, 2009 Report Posted February 1, 2009 You Sharks keep playing your first half like yall been doing and you boys will lose. Sharks better bring there A game because yall will be in for a rude awakening. The refs called Sabine's way the whole night at there house against the Pirates. Hope you boys are looking for the same treatment. I'm taking Spurger by double digits.

DC07 Posted February 1, 2009 Report Posted February 1, 2009 even if whittiker and chase are out i still see spurger as a pretty well rounded team, and with them healthy just that much better this may be a fight to the finish. Sharks need to play hard from start to finish to try to steal one on the road.
