EX-Ceauxch Posted February 7, 2009 Report Posted February 7, 2009 I still like it! No matter what they decide, someone ain't going to be happy!!
rapayne Posted February 7, 2009 Report Posted February 7, 2009 Should have the 1A results on the voting of this in a week or so. I thought it passed, do I know something I shouldn't yet?
Bobcat1 Posted February 7, 2009 Report Posted February 7, 2009 Good thing my brother is graduating this year, or my sister who is on varsity volleyball would have to miss his games because he could be playing in Diboll while we are playing in HJ for volleyball... If they are going to do it do it for all sports. :
raideroldtimer Posted February 7, 2009 Report Posted February 7, 2009 With four teams going to the playoffs nowadays, it would really be a travesty to have any districts under 8 teams anymore.
KFDM COOP Posted February 7, 2009 Author Report Posted February 7, 2009 Should have the 1A results on the voting of this in a week or so. I thought it passed, do I know something I shouldn't yet? Dr. B told me they were waiting on the 1A results. 6-Man is already doing it and they love it he said.
NDNWarrior Posted February 7, 2009 Report Posted February 7, 2009 Should have the 1A results on the voting of this in a week or so. I thought it passed, do I know something I shouldn't yet? I was under the impression that it had passed too. Is this not true?
KFDM COOP Posted February 8, 2009 Author Report Posted February 8, 2009 1A voting results will be in soon according to Dr. B.
stangchain Posted February 9, 2009 Report Posted February 9, 2009 "The UIL staff presented the concept to the Legislative Council in June and October. The Council authorized this study to provide information regarding the actual placement of schools into districts. This draft is for study purposes only and applies only to football. "
NewIndian Posted February 10, 2009 Report Posted February 10, 2009 This sucks, a 6 team district with 4 going to the playoffs, what the heck, money changes everything it was better when you only had 2 going you had to be good then, is there no fighting this??????? ???
pngfan1 Posted February 10, 2009 Report Posted February 10, 2009 This sucks, a 6 team district with 4 going to the playoffs, what the heck Making the playoffs doesn't mean as much as it used to, its watered down. I liked it when they had two teams. I sure hope we wouldn't have 4 out of 6.
NHS83LU87 Posted February 10, 2009 Report Posted February 10, 2009 Why only for football? By the time the change takes place it probably will not benefit me due to sons graduating but it would benefit those following. It sucks for some but would definitely benefit NHS.
stevieray Posted February 11, 2009 Report Posted February 11, 2009 I have no problem with 3 teams making the playoffs
bobtex Posted February 11, 2009 Report Posted February 11, 2009 This mock look at new districts, just doesn't seem realistic! In the Houston area a lot of changes are in the future! Humble has Summer Creek High ,which looks more like a large 4-A, not 5-A, which will cause Humble high to drop to 4-A. Then New Caney's new high school , Porter High , will be 4-A. and also New Caney will drop back to 4-A! That is in a very small area and I'm sure many other areas have similar changes!
