KFDM COOP Posted February 7, 2009 Report Posted February 7, 2009 Nederland boys 3, Baytown Lee 3, tie BAYTOWN -- Nederland scored the night's first and last goals with Jordan O'Neill connecting a game-tying goal with three minutes left in a 3-3 deadlock with Baytown Lee at Stallworth Stadium. Nederland (8-4-3) scored in the opening half with 15 minutes left as Jake Kemp followed home an assist from Miles Lawler. Lee tied the game two minutes later and unlocked a 1-1 tie with a goal halfway into the second half. Lee maintained its 2-1 edge for only 22 seconds as O'Neill converted an assist from Kemp. Lee regained the lead at 3-2 with less than five minutes to play off an odd penalty kick after an unusual shoving infraction levied by the officials against NHS keeper Tyler Vidrine. "It was a real good, competitive game," NHS coach Rob Bledsoe said. "We will benefit from playing in a game like this because it was sort of like a playoff atmosphere."
