Lamar Set to Retire Three Former Men's Basketball Player Jerseys

Don Bryson, B.B. Davis and Clarence Kea will have the first three jersey's retired in school history.

Bryson, Davis and Kea will be presented with their jersey Friday, Feb. 20 at the Former Players Reunion banquet at McDonald Gym. The jerseys will be unveiled in the Montagne Center at halftime of Lamar's game against Northwestern State on Saturday, Feb. 21.

"The retirement of jerseys is long over due," Tubbs said. "We formed a committee that set the criteria for consideration and they selected this inaugural class. All three jerseys we are retiring were unanimous selections.

No Mike Oliver?  If anybody is school history deserves it, he does.  Has he stepped on some toes since he left?  I know he is never here for any of the homecoming activities.  Is there something besides his on the floor contributions that kept him off this list? ???

What a a shame.  Mike seemed to be such a nice guy back then when he was at Lamar.  I hope he can get his life together.  Thankfully the victim survived.

She's very much alive but I wouldn't expect any jerseys retired for Oliver.
