texasstud28 Posted February 15, 2009 Report Posted February 15, 2009 What does it take nowadays to break into the coaching ranks? Lets say you're 28-30 years old, hold a four-year degree, and love the game of fooball. Only problem, though, is that you weren't very good at either football or baseball in highschool Do you apply for an eleemntary job and work your way up?

td Posted February 17, 2009 Report Posted February 17, 2009 Instill discipline. Do what he thinks is right. Win consistently. Run the program his way and not everyone elses way. He is ultimately responsible for the success or failure of the program. How is that for starters.
mat Posted February 17, 2009 Report Posted February 17, 2009 Probably the biggest difference right now is the new energy, community excitement and support. That alone is providing the momentum. He just has to keep the ball rolling.
