Lazeek Posted February 16, 2009 Report Posted February 16, 2009 As a Suns fan I am happy about this........I never wanted them to allow D'Antonio to get away. I am also hoping that this will allow them to keep the team intact. Porter was the problem and the players did not like him.
Guest aschrapps Posted February 16, 2009 Report Posted February 16, 2009 The real problem in phoenix is Steve kerr. He has single handedly destroyed this franchise. The deal to acquire shaq was interesting. But trading diaw and raja for Jason richardson. It's like he trys these trades on NBA live and than proposed them in real life. Terry porter was put in a no win situation here. I mean it was trying to change an entire culture and system.

The owner is equally to blame though. He has okayed deals based on money and not basketball.
ForeverADog Posted February 16, 2009 Report Posted February 16, 2009 Agreed. Porter would do a good job coaching a team like the spurs but not phoenix. They need a guy from the Don Nelson coaching tree or swallow their pride and get someone from the D'antoni tree.
