Guest JoesBros Posted February 17, 2009 Report Posted February 17, 2009 On the eve of the first full-squad workout, Lance Berkman reported to Osceola County Stadium early Monday evening to drop off some bags and pick up some luggage that he had packed on the team's truck. "It's a long process," he said. "And after you've been through enough seasons you realize this is just one step in a long journey. You know, I just mainly just want to try to focus on getting ready to go. I mean, we got six weeks or thereabouts. I just want to be ready to play when (opening day against the Chicago Cubs on) April 6 rolls around." Berkman also picked up the vials and specimen cups he must take early Tuesday morning to fill during his annual pre-camp physical. In light of the irregular heart beat that was uncovered during Mike Hampton's EKG Saturday, Berkman was asked if he was stressed about his physical. "Everybody's going to die at some point. I hope it's not anytime soon," he said. "So you just go in there and if there's something bad you hope they catch it." Posted by Jose de Jesus Ortiz at February 16, 2009 04:41 PM
