Lazeek Posted February 18, 2009 Report Posted February 18, 2009 I do not thing you can wrong with either Jarvis or Shannon for MVP. One wins MVP and the other wins Offensive MVP. I can't see them giving Defensive MVP to anyone other than Jacoby though. He proved it last night again!!!!!

Guest ST4life Posted February 18, 2009 Report Posted February 18, 2009 AFFIRMATIVE Burrell and Benard are Seniors.......who else for HJ
Guest hjlonghorn Posted February 18, 2009 Report Posted February 18, 2009 Shannon is way more consistant from the field.
Lazeek Posted February 18, 2009 Report Posted February 18, 2009 Spell and Klages........they come off the bench. Spell played about 30 seconds last night. Klages was sick and did not play, but he would not have played much if any.
Guest stevenash Posted February 18, 2009 Report Posted February 18, 2009 Shannon is way more consistant from the field. Consistent,(note the correct spelling) yes, but 5 for 6 from NBA range is an exception other than the rule

Guest ST4life Posted February 18, 2009 Report Posted February 18, 2009 so next year it will be something like this....... Hill, Lane, DC Stallworth, Thomas and ? Silsbee vs. HJ Jacoby, Ricossa, Gustafson, ? and ? looks like another challenge but what do yall think...... ??? I know this is next year but I was just thinking of this in my head on how the match up will be next year.......
ST413 Posted February 18, 2009 Report Posted February 18, 2009 Maybe Jones two 6'6, 6'3,6'2 and Hill. hopefully he can spread the ball around well.
ST413 Posted February 18, 2009 Report Posted February 18, 2009 But we may need one of those shooters from jv for the outside game.

Not sure about the players but am betting there will be plenty more of "Silsbee by +25" since the JV went through district undefeated
Guest ST4life Posted February 18, 2009 Report Posted February 18, 2009 But we may need one of those shooters from jv for the outside game. those twins are good but that # 23 can shoot and dribble a little better I think......... who is he..... ???

AggiesAreWe Posted February 18, 2009 Report Posted February 18, 2009 Silsbee has seven key players coming back. Starters Hill, Lane and Stallworth along with Jones, Thomas, Harris, and Bolton. The Tigers could start a big line up with '6"6 Jones, '6"6 Thomas, '6"4 Stallworth, '6"2 Lane, and '5"9 Hill. I think '5"11 Bolton and '6"2 Harris could be starters next year. Silsbee will have to depend on a couple of those JV players to be the three-point specialist. Tigers will lose all their three point shooters after this season.

Guest hjlonghorn Posted February 19, 2009 Report Posted February 19, 2009 When i watched Silsbees jv play against us #4 had about 5 or 6 3's both games and when he did miss it wasnt by much and he could also take it to the rack with a great ball fake.
Lazeek Posted February 19, 2009 Report Posted February 19, 2009 Pardon me but we are talking 21-3A MVP.........not MVP of the JV or Freshman team. Get back on topic!! ;D ;D
HJ2012 Posted February 21, 2009 Report Posted February 21, 2009 he asked lazeek hahaha Cody, u think joe or shawn can handle startin on varsity? Joe can dunk, dribble rather well, and shoot somewhat consistently (check the spelling ;D ). Shawn can grab rim, dribble really well, and shoot really well.
the know Posted February 23, 2009 Report Posted February 23, 2009 Has anyone considered Turner from HJ as possible district MVP. I have seen him mentioned as defensive MVP, but after watching several games he seems to set the tone. I know some will say defenses focus more on Bernard or Turner is the third option so defenses dont focus on him as much. I will say the first HJ loss to silsbee had more to do with Turner in foul trouble than bernard a bad night. Against WOS Turner was a beast. I think HJ could not have done all this with out any of the three but it was just my thought.
