jake94
Sam cruises in this game. They are always a good team in the regular season and always very tough at home. They will more than likely flop again early in the Southland tourney though like they usually do. It is too bad that LU most likely will not make the tourney though, because history has shown that ANYTHING can and will happen in the Southland Tourney. I really and truly believe our conference needs to get rid of the conference tourney and reward the bid to the regular season champion. That way, we send the representative that had the most success in the conference. Right now, we reward the team that gets hot for 3 games.
TexasTerror
This is a different SHSU team. They are improving as the season goes along and unlike previous teams, are not peaking at the wrong time. A young squad, they don't know any better and this is not the year we expected to compete, it was next year.

Young, good coaching, young.. we get it LU wins :
badndn
i think LU pulls off a shocker! Then tanks the rest of the games.
Guest coachacola
SHSU has a good mix of young and veteran players. Although they lost about 6 or 7 players from last year's team, they have 5 or 6 returning players (with Mitchell and Ramirez being the 2 key players from last year) that contributed a lot last year with several freshmen contributing right away this year. SHSU brought in a better group of freshmen than LU did, but we already knew that Lamar had a somewhat disappointing recruiting class last year. As far as tonight's game goes, with Dawkins hurt it's going to be real hard to win. Being able to shoot a lot of 3s is a great equalizer and Lamar just doesn't have that this year, especially with Dawkins hurt.
josuenachos
In a surprise turn of events, the refs feel so bad about how they officiated the previous mathup, they refuse to call fouls. Even after the Sam crowd loses their cool and charges the refs. They shout back to the fans, "Let them play!" With SHSU's 40-year old LeBron lookalike not taking 40 free throws, the cards eek out a close one 78-72.
