Lazeek Posted February 24, 2009 Report Posted February 24, 2009 For those that have labeled HJ as having a down year, no being tested, etc. I will have you know that the 6 losses that HJ has have come from 5 teams that all made the playoffs this season. Here are the losses: Nederland 4A Central 4A Kingwood Park 4A Lufkin Hudson 3A #20 Silsbee 3A #10 Silsbee 3A #10 I would also add that 4 of the 6 losses came at home for the Hawks!!! The Hawks went 18-2 on the road this season including tournaments and the playoff game so far.
PoppaBearstarr Posted February 24, 2009 Report Posted February 24, 2009 listen u guys have had a good season but the talent level at hj isn't what it used to be.. the bench is terrible.. the reason for the success is the great coaching staff one of the best in the state and the big 3 who are able to take over at any time in the game. I most say im am realy impressed by the development of the young center and the point guard has done a good job taking care of the basketbal and running the offense This is rediculous... HJ's bench is not terrible, They have some good players that come off of the bench and give some quality minutes....Liberty will see some of it tonight.
setxslam Posted February 24, 2009 Report Posted February 24, 2009 "u guys have had a good season but the talent level at hj isn't what it used to be.. the bench is terrible.. " Yep, our bench is turrible, just turrible-- but good enough to get us to 33-6.
setxslam Posted February 24, 2009 Report Posted February 24, 2009 And, just maybe, all the way to Austin.
ownowbrowncow Posted February 24, 2009 Report Posted February 24, 2009 hj by 40 and they'll call off the dogs off and our "bench" will make liberty look terrible
setxslam Posted February 24, 2009 Report Posted February 24, 2009 That bench was good enough to beat Silsbee, at Silsbee. That's good enough for me.
Lazeek Posted February 24, 2009 Report Posted February 24, 2009 That bench was good enough to beat Silsbee, at Silsbee. That's good enough for me. Oh come on now slam...........that was only because Silsbee was without Lane and Stallworth!!!! : : : :
Guest stevenash Posted February 24, 2009 Report Posted February 24, 2009 That bench was good enough to beat Silsbee, at Silsbee. That's good enough for me. Oh come on now slam...........that was only because Silsbee was without Lane and Stallworth!!!! : : : : I think it was because the Perpetual Trash Talker ran out of energy at crunch time.

setxslam Posted February 24, 2009 Report Posted February 24, 2009 Should we be lucky enough to win tonight, anyone know when and where we go to meet and beat Navasota?
setxslam Posted February 24, 2009 Report Posted February 24, 2009 Yeah, that's been a good gym for us against Navasota.
dccurtis Posted February 24, 2009 Report Posted February 24, 2009 hopefully it doesn't run out.. the finish last year was incredible.. From what i hear they lost one of there best players from last years team leaving early for college
Guest stevenash Posted February 24, 2009 Report Posted February 24, 2009 hopefully college park again They won't play HJ at College Park. It will definitely not be College Park.
BLUEDOVE3 Posted February 24, 2009 Report Posted February 24, 2009 Go Liberty tired of hearing about them guys to the east so Liberty by fifty. Check number fifty for Liberty bc moves pretty good for a BIG MAN. ;D Okay mother, you got in your props for your son
Guest stevenash Posted February 24, 2009 Report Posted February 24, 2009 why not Because Navasota lost to HJ two years in a row. Look for some aleternate location like Caney Creek
PoppaBearstarr Posted February 24, 2009 Report Posted February 24, 2009 That is a horrible gym the lighting is pathetic a lot worse than Hj's gym, and no cell service inside the school.
Lazeek Posted February 24, 2009 Report Posted February 24, 2009 Hopefully somewhere a little closer than farther away. Navasota trip to Woodlands College Park..........45 minutes. HJ trip to Woodlands College Park..........2 hours. How about the game somewhere like Baytown Lee College? Kingwood? Atascocita? Humble?
hornet06 Posted February 24, 2009 Report Posted February 24, 2009 how do you like your crow? liberty fans?
Guest DickVitale Posted February 24, 2009 Report Posted February 24, 2009 Hopefully somewhere a little closer than farther away. Navasota trip to Woodlands College Park..........45 minutes. HJ trip to Woodlands College Park..........2 hours. How about the game somewhere like Baytown Lee College? Kingwood? Atascocita? Humble? They should play at Kingwood High or at North Shore....Hey Lazeek, stop wanting to give LEE COLLEGE free recruiting trips by hosting MORE HS playoff games!!! Seriously, The Woodlands CP is not a "neutral TRIP" for both squads. I hear the Parker Center is AVAILABLE!!!
Guest DickVitale Posted February 24, 2009 Report Posted February 24, 2009 OH, never mind, I see its at Caney Creek...Good spot....Long as its NOT at LEE COLLEGE!!
PoppaBearstarr Posted February 25, 2009 Report Posted February 25, 2009 good if we bring flash lights....looks like everyone had jondis there last week during the girls playoff game...
