I read that HJ's basketball court was "smaller" than the basketball courts at other area high schools.  If this is true, how much smaller is it?  Length or with, or both?  If smaller, how does it help or hurt HJ's or their visitors?

It really doesn't matter anymore how small the court is. They have played their last game on it. They will be playing in their new gym next season.

The old court is 84 feet. New court will be 92 feet.

Actually, if you look in the NFHS rule book you will see that it says that 84 feet is the "recommended length" for high school basketball.  The length of a basketball floor can be anywhere from 84-94 ft.  HJ's floor is 84 ft.  The floor in the new gym will be 89 ft.
