Matt is good, but there are several other names that I heard about like Benoit, Kerr, and a couple of others. Matt was voted most athletic at school, but I think there may a few guys ahead of him. This is pure speculation, and I imagine Coach Faircloth will give all player s a chance to beat out others for the starting position. Good luck to all

With Coach Faircloth's past record with QB's I would say we will have the right kid playing next year.

I agree.  I think with Coach Faircloth, these kids trying out for any position will kick it up a few notches to be the best they can be!  Whoever the QB will be, he will definitely be the right one and ready to step up to the challenge.

From viewing the Odessa game films the QB will have to be a good runner. The zone read uses the QB as a runner. With this I would say Matt Desmond is the best choice.

Matt Desmond is currently a soph.  Not quite sure how tall he is but he does have some height on him.  He was the starting QB at GMS and during Freshman and JV the past two years he has shared the duties with Doty.  He was the QB most of the JV season this year due to Doty being out with an injury.  He's a great kid, intelligent and I'm sure he'd do an awesome job at QB if he gets the call.
