j_dog Posted February 24, 2009 Report Posted February 24, 2009 jasper 76 chapel hill 52 It does not make any difference in the outcome, but I thought the score was 75-62? Jasper had a big lead, but CH whittled away after Jasper put in the reserves. That score still beat "the spread".

j_dog Posted February 25, 2009 Report Posted February 25, 2009 Congrats to Jasper. Can anyone say "Sleeper!" Thanks. Anybody not noticing HAS been sleeping. Jasper has now won some 25 games. It began to look like CH would never score their first points. Jasper got the ball first, scored, then stole the ball and scored, stole the ball and scored, stole the ball and scored, ... Once or twice Jasper stole the ball on the inbound and just dribbled to the basket for a quick two. I forget how many points Jasper had when CH finally scored their first basket. The score was 18-2 at one point if I remember correctly. After that the game was pretty much over although CH did make some runs to narrow the score. Every time CH got close, Jasper just pulled away again. CH did have a lot of quickness as advertised. Jasper was just quicker.
