whsalum Posted February 25, 2009 Report Posted February 25, 2009 It may not be the same club that we've seen at the state tournament but they will be very well coached.The kids will have bought in to the system and will be very disciplined.There won't be a double digit win in this game.Thorndale always controls the tempo which could lead to a 56-50 type game.If thats the case it will come down to possessions and free throws so its a toss up.

whsalum Posted February 25, 2009 Report Posted February 25, 2009 If Chase and Daniel decide the tempo Spurger could very well win it.The few times I've seen Thorndale over the past couple of seasons they never let the other club control the pace.They are usually very basketball smart which allows them to stay in games where they shouldn't be close.I haven't seen them this year so my observations are from the past 2 years.

The booklet out on thorndale this season shows that they have 2 kids 6'0", thats as big as they get. That is why I say whittaker and rawls should have a good game against them.You cant rely on that playing a club with their kind of tradition and the wins that they put up over the past 4 years.Spurger knows this and will be ready. 6thman Posted February 26, 2009 Report Posted February 26, 2009 According to Thorndale's website they have five 6ft players and two 6ft 1 players. They have a set of twins that seems to be the ones to watch. Clay and Cody Schneider, Cody is 5 ft 10 and leads thier stats with 13.5 points, 4.3 rebs, 4.6 steals 5.8 assist and 5 charges per game. Clay, Joe Salinas, paxton Jordan seems to be the 3 point shooters. With all this said I feel that spurger will still come out a winner by 8!!!!!
