Lazeek Posted February 27, 2009 Report Posted February 27, 2009 They failed to mention that the only reason HJ won it in '07 is because 3A was "down that year".

Lazeek Posted February 27, 2009 Report Posted February 27, 2009 For those of you that think it was "weak".........It is still a State Championship and it is more than you have!!!!! And it was while Silsbee was in AAA. Tyler Chapel Hill that year was far from weak!!!!

And it was while Silsbee was in AAA. Tyler Chapel Hill that year was far from weak!!!! I totally agree, TWG. I still think the regional final game between Silsbee and HJ was the state championship game. We'll never know for sure but IMO Silsbee would have beaten both those teams that HJ beat in Austin.
Lazeek Posted February 27, 2009 Report Posted February 27, 2009 Of course they would have...........Kennedale would have also beat HJ!!!! : : : Never know unless they play!!!!!!! Different teams create different matchups.
Guest nostradamus Posted February 27, 2009 Report Posted February 27, 2009 AAW, I agree that Silsbee would have likely won it all that year. However, to some posters on here, because two teams from the same region were arguably the best in the state it does not mean 3A was down that year. So much of the basketball playoffs is based solely off of location that it is impossible to judge the level of 3A basketball on what is at the state tournament. Navasota has as good an argument as anyone. IMO, they VERY EASILY could have been in AND won the state championship the last two years....and I GUARANTEE the Silsbee coaching staff would agree.

I could not agree with you more, Nos. Some posters just don't know any better.
