Gtj007 Posted March 2, 2009 Report Posted March 2, 2009 Lamar is #23 in the COLLEGIATE BASEBALL NEWSPAPER POLL. This is the hidden content, please Sign In or Sign Up
fatelvis04 Posted March 2, 2009 Report Posted March 2, 2009 I didn't think the one loss Sunday would hurt them all that much. Baseball is a sport where you're going to lose some games, even to teams that are lesser than you. Just the nature of the game.
lu cards Posted March 2, 2009 Report Posted March 2, 2009 its nice to get the pub but this team at some point will struggle.pitching has been good but were still very inexperienced.i like our chances come may.
Guest coachacola Posted March 2, 2009 Report Posted March 2, 2009 Wow, I really wasn't expecting Lamar to make the poll since they really haven't played any top-notch competition. Now they just need to keep winning to stay in the poll because they won't catch any slack from the pollsters if they lose.
UNLV Posted March 2, 2009 Report Posted March 2, 2009 I like for Terror to remind us how great SHSU was in NAIA...
Guest coachacola Posted March 2, 2009 Report Posted March 2, 2009 From the LU athletic website: This marks the Cardinals' first ranking since Mar. 15, 2004, when they were ranked No. 28 by Collegiate Baseball following a 15-4 start. The last time Lamar cracked the top 25 came on Feb 23, 2004, when they were No. 24. For the third-consecutive National Collegiate Baseball Writers Association poll, LU is among the others receiving votes, which this week lists 19 teams outside of the top 30 in alphabetical order. http://lamarcardinals.cstv.com/sports/m-basebl/spec-rel/030209aaa.html
