I didn't think the one loss Sunday would hurt them all that much. Baseball is a sport where you're going to lose some games, even to teams that are lesser than you. Just the nature of the game.

Wow, I really wasn't expecting Lamar to make the poll since they really haven't played any top-notch competition.  Now they just need to keep winning to stay in the poll because they won't catch any slack from the pollsters if they lose.

This marks the Cardinals' first ranking since Mar. 15, 2004, when they were ranked No. 28 by Collegiate Baseball following a 15-4 start. The last time Lamar cracked the top 25 came on Feb 23, 2004, when they were No. 24.

For the third-consecutive National Collegiate Baseball Writers Association poll, LU is among the others receiving votes, which this week lists 19 teams outside of the top 30 in alphabetical order.
