Â After seeing 5 of these teams at ope point or another I feel that the HJ-Cleveland game would be the best to see. Â Not sure of Huntsvilles style, Â so my second choice would be Kountze-New Waverly, Â however I will be at Silsbee's gam if work permits, Â just do not feel like it should be as good as these.

I agree!! i mean if it wasnt for Hj playing on the same night as kountze id probabley be sitting at the kountze vs. New waverly game, itll be a hard fought game between them too.... ill be at the Hj game but ill still be rooting for a kountze win
ST413 Posted March 2, 2009 Report Posted March 2, 2009 Both of those should be great games. Not sure if Kountze can quite hang with New Waverly, they gave the Tigers a tough game early on when they hadn't had many games and Kountze didn't. I know the lions have gotten better so I hope they can pull it off.

Now I give you credit about the Ozen/Huntsville game, but Yates/Wheatley is a Houston game, not our area teams. The Yates/Wheatley game is the best as far as the state goes but I think Ozen will win their game handily. And yes, I do look above 3A, but in this case when just considering our area teams, the 4A(Ozen) and 5A(PAM) games won't be as competitive as the Kountze and HJ games.

Â If it is not Ozen, LSC-PA or some Houston school then they are not worthy of any kind of conversation on this board. Â Although over 95% of the conversation on this board is about something other than Ozen, LSC-PA or some Houston school. Â Nobody around here cares about rivalries in Dallas or Houston as far as that goes. Â In SE Texas there is not a bigger rivalry than HJ/ Silsbee...........period!!!!!! Â I have looked at big schools and small schools and there is no comparison. Â It is the Mid-County Madness of Hoops!!!! Â Maybe it can be called the Hardin County Hoopla!!!!! ;D ;D ;D

Yeah, maybe a poster or two will discuss them, but they are not teams we regularly cover. Same as Yates and Wheatley. When they play one of our local teams, there will be plenty of discussion. Sometimes they are talked about without one of them playing a local team. But, the fact remains we don't normally cover those teams. That's why the name of the site is SETXsports.com! Now, we invite all talk about any team, but don't go criticizing our site for not talking about teams that we don't regularly cover.
