The University Interscholastic League allows only schools in Classes 5A and 4A to hold 18 days of full-contact practices in the spring. Schools that hold spring practices must begin fall practices a week later than all other schools, Aug. 10 instead of Aug. 3.

I wonder why the UIL will only allow 5A and 4A schools to hold spring practice?

  I've always had some doubts about spring practice, but can see some positives in it for a school that is bringing in a new Head Coach and staff like PNG and LCM.  Gives kids a chance to see the new system AND for the coach to set the tone/expectations for his program.

Umm i dnt think Centrals Spring Ball will Start til the Track season is over..since mostly all the players an coaches are involved...which may be in May since Central has 4x100 an 4x200 tht could go to state
