smitty Posted March 7, 2009 Report Posted March 7, 2009 Has the coaches that were not retained by the new head Indian found new jobs yet. If so, where did they end up?
pngfan1 Posted March 7, 2009 Report Posted March 7, 2009 Good question smitty. I haven't talked with anyone, but do know that one of them reassigned to Middle School had offers at Memorial and Bridge City. I have heard nothing more. I was wandering if any of the coaches Faircloth was bringing has arrived. Heard one of them coming was excellent and could have gotten a HC job, but wanted to be with Faircloth.Says a lot about him. I have talked with some from Permian who said we got a great one, that he was completely responsible for engineering Permians offensive success. But back to the original subject I wish Welch and Broussard the best and will definitely be interested in seeing where they end up.

But, like pngfan1, I did hear that Faircloth was attributed with the offensive success at Permian.
allstarmom Posted March 9, 2009 Report Posted March 9, 2009 from what I understand Welch has been offered several jobs and Broussard is in the process of interviewing with several school and one former job may want him back. Looks like both men will land on their feet locally.
pngfan1 Posted March 10, 2009 Report Posted March 10, 2009 Two of the new coaches will start next week. Thats good news, glad to see them coming to town. Looks like its all coming together.

smitty Posted March 11, 2009 Author Report Posted March 11, 2009 Sorry about that folks. I was talking about info on the displaced coaches at PN-G. Any recent info? Has the coaches that were not retained by the new head Indian found new jobs yet. If so, where did they end up?
KFDM COOP Posted March 11, 2009 Report Posted March 11, 2009 Not sure if they have landed anywhere yet.

Haven't heard where they are going but do know they had interviews at LCM and heard they had other good possibilities.
pngfan1 Posted March 13, 2009 Report Posted March 13, 2009 Welch is going to Vidor i believe. Thanks for the info COOP, best of luck to Welch. Heard anything on Broussard? LCM seemed to be a good fit, closer to his home. I don't believe he has left yet. I believe he coaches the powerlifting team, who by the way has done quite well.
outanup Posted March 14, 2009 Report Posted March 14, 2009 Welch is in fact a Pirate. As he is still under contract, I would think he will finish out the year at PNG. Congrats to a great coach, and an even better person. This is good for Vidor. PNG lost one heck of an O-line coach.
badndn Posted March 14, 2009 Report Posted March 14, 2009 Dan should fit in well with what they do in Vidor. He will without a doubt help their running attack. Hated to see him go as an OLine coach, but I understood Faircloths need to replace him as an OC.
prepballfan Posted March 17, 2009 Report Posted March 17, 2009 Congrats to Vidor he is a good O-Line coach
PNGFan Posted March 17, 2009 Report Posted March 17, 2009 Anyone know if any new coaches started Monday?
