Todd has done a fine job with that program over there...His assistants are seasoned guys, and I am certain they make life much easier on him...There is your answer. :

Here is how to interpret that.  DV doesn't think Todd is that great of a coach.  His assistants are ok and they help Todd out.  If ozen were to go to 2 state tournaments in 3 years under Saveat he would be the greatest coach in history...............but because this is not Ozen, Wheatley, or Yates he has just done a fine job.  Wow .

DickVitale, off topic, but since you might be reading this: I hope you can help get the HJ Big Three to join the HJ Biggest One at LSCPA over this next two years.  Beyond that, I hope all four of HJ's finest will go on to play at LU.  They are great players, and great young men, who would do any program proud.

What EXACTLY do you want me to say here? You people on here should know me better than that by now...If I think a guy is not that good of a coach, I will say, HE IS NOT THAT GOOD OF A COACH! Boutte went to state 4 out of 7 years and you "experts" said it was due to good athletes and recruiting, giving our staff NO CREDIT...Truth is region 3, class 3A IS NOT THAT GOOD ANYWAY! How many state titles have come out of this region in 3A in the last 10 years? ONE! How any times this region make it to the state title GAME? ONE! So don't act like you guys are setting the world on fire here....Congrats, to HJ, they made it out of this region...Now go win it...MY PICK....ESTACADO BY 15...Go get em T-Wag!! (Estacado head coach Tony Wagner, BTW, who was a college teammate of mine) You HJ guys can really tick me off sometimes! And to think, I was complimenting your program, and got critcized for THAT!  :

I would like you to say who has the best coaching staff in the area and why....You might think Nederland has the best coaching staff.  That would be fine with me just answer.......it was a simple question!!!!!  However, it is pretty obvious that my interpretation was correct due to your normal rage that you go off on anytime anyone challenges you.

BTW.  You never heard me say talent got Boutte there.  I think he is absolutely the best coach in this areas history and one of the best in state history.  PERIOD!!! So like you would say..............don't put words in to my mouth!!!

You have to give unnecessary things by tagging them as  NOT great.  NO ONE SAID THEY WERE GREAT!!!!!!!!! Read the question!!!! The question was who has the best staff in the area?  That is all.  You are so right...........Numbers dont lie.  I will completely disagree with you and say that Todd Sutherland has proven himself as a great coach.  State tournaments with 3 different teams and numerous district and regional championships.  HE IS GREAT IMHO!!!!!!!!!!

Well we finally got him off the pot....I'm speaking of the pot that you sit on and think. I was curious to see his opinion on this issue even though I thought I knew what it was. Yes, you are somewhat correct DV on some of your statements. I do not know all of the details but didn't Todd take east chambers to the state tournament, then Kountze several times I know he has a state championship with Kountze and HJ, I cant remember if Kountze was 3A then or not. If you want to speak of results, then yes, I'm sure Boutte Has been more times and I was one of those guys that said it Helps having a great talent pool to pull from and I also said not to take anything away from Boutte, That he is a great coach, and that he was definitely one of the best in SE Texas, but u seemed to keep leaving those things out and making it look like it was a shot at your guy, it was not. My opinions are just that they are just mine and do not in any way or should they be considered a reflection on the HJ nation. The only reason why I didn't add Boutte to the list is that I wasn't sure if he was going to be the head basketball coach at PAM. I was hoping you might shed some light on that instead of saying we are patting ourselves on the back.

Let me qualify this by saying my basketball coaching knowledge is a popcorn fart compaired to the thousand acre corn plantation from all of the coaches around here. You dint see me on here discussing strategy, or down playing anyones coaching. I just love the game, and I'm proud of the fact the kids at HJ have had a long and lustrous basketball program. I didn't mean to offend anyone if it sounded like I knew what I was talking about.....
