Three starters expected back for Silsbee boys basketball team also.......

Hill, Stallworth, Lane

not to mention some other key players back: Thomas, Bolton, Harris and Jones

So the starting line up next year could be:

'6"6 Jones, '6"6 Thomas, '6"4 Stallworth, '6"2 Lane, and '5"9 Hill

If all of these players improve during off season than we should make another good run in the play-offs.......

notice I did not bash HJ in this post all I did was make a small article about Silsbee since the Enterprise cant find a reason to do so.......... ;D

Nobody gave this years team a chance to compete and they lost in the State Semis...........

HJ had going into this season three, yes three players that have ever played Varsity Basketball!!!!!!

Those players were Benard, Burrell and Turner...........no other Hawk had ever played a Varsity game!!!!!!

There is also another starter from this year's JV team that will be in the mix also.  Can't remember his name but he was good on the JV team.  My guess is that he was the leading scorer on JV.

Robert Harmon is his name.....and he is 5'9.

James Morrison was the leading scorer on JV when he joined up with them in the kountze tournament.

Yes this team can compete!

Everyone has forgotten that Gustafson and Sutherland were Freshmen last year!

That team went undefeated for the 07/08 season.

Not undefeated in district; no games lost.

That includes beating Silsbee twice in district play.

Yes; they'll compete!

i sure cant wait to have donahoes lil brother playing for Hj in a year, he put up some great points for middle school
