Lazeek Posted March 13, 2009 Report Posted March 13, 2009 23 fouls for Shallowater and 8 for New Waverly??? : : :
KHSAlum400 Posted March 13, 2009 Report Posted March 13, 2009 is nw a good team Unless you've been in a cave this whole year.....Yes!
hoopfan09 Posted March 13, 2009 Report Posted March 13, 2009 is nw a good team Unless you've been in a cave this whole year.....Yes! are they better than the ponder team
KHSAlum400 Posted March 13, 2009 Report Posted March 13, 2009 is nw a good team Unless you've been in a cave this whole year.....Yes! are they better than the ponder team Better..maybe. More athletic...Definitely. Its hard to call this one because Ponder is an extremely good defensive team. This ones a toss-up. You have #1 vs. #2. Can Ponder handle New Waverly's defensive pressure and athleticism? Can New Waverly handle Ponder's controlled offense and great man-to-man defense? This one will be a dandy.
aTmfan06 Posted March 13, 2009 Report Posted March 13, 2009 And just think if Kountze wouldve made their free throws we coulda beat NW :-\ :-\

Too good on both ends of the floor. They can play anyway you like. One of the best, if not the best, 2A team in quite a while(along with Kountze 05) IMO.
sabinebball Posted March 13, 2009 Report Posted March 13, 2009 Congrats to NW on the win! Ponder will be tough. NW is going to have to get hot and make free throws. I doubt Ponder gives them 13 turnovers in the first half like Shallowater did. Ponder likes to get on people early so NW will have to come out hot to make it a game. Good luck tomorrow!
CATMAN Posted March 13, 2009 Report Posted March 13, 2009 23 fouls for Shallowater and 8 for New Waverly??? : : : so ;D ;D ;D ;D ;D
Lightning/Eagle Posted March 13, 2009 Report Posted March 13, 2009 Too much athleticism at New Waverly. They win this one by 8.
yepyep Posted March 13, 2009 Report Posted March 13, 2009 Too much athleticism at New Waverly. They win this one by 8. Ponder has played and beaten a handful of teams that are more athletic than NW. IF Ponder loses it wont be cause NW was too athletic.
Guest ECBucFan Posted March 13, 2009 Report Posted March 13, 2009 Just saw a few clips of the game on Houston ABC-13. A NW player drove the lane for a layup, immediately turned to a defender and unprovoked, puffed up with clenched fists, got all bug-eyed in his face, and started running his mouth. The Shallowater opponent simply turned away. This mirrors the behavior NW exhibited against EC in the first round. This team and their fans act really bad. It's a shame this is on display in Austin. They will probably win the final game, but I hope they don't. I ain't got much use for em'. >
