Lazeek Posted March 13, 2009 Report Posted March 13, 2009 I am shocked that they lost. I bet the UIL is happy!!!!!!!
Guest etbu Posted March 13, 2009 Report Posted March 13, 2009 I know I am! Ha Ha Had the coach from SJ on the radio this morning and was talking about the game. Ask him what kind of team they were facing and he let a bleep slip and and went to commercial. LOL
stealthninja Posted March 13, 2009 Report Posted March 13, 2009 De Soto's coach has been one of the best coaches in Texas for a long time. No surprise here. OK, maybe a mild surprise.
HoopInsider_Cooper Posted March 13, 2009 Report Posted March 13, 2009 Not surprised. SJ had all the chances in the world to win. When your top player goes 4-23, it's not a good day.
bone Posted March 13, 2009 Report Posted March 13, 2009 i did post that they would not win state gut feeling only sometimes without ever losing one you can be humbled by the hungry
Bench Warmer Posted March 13, 2009 Report Posted March 13, 2009 The loss has to go to the front office - the recruiting coach should be fired.
j_dog Posted March 13, 2009 Report Posted March 13, 2009 I know I am! me too! they can say they don't recruit, but i am not convinced. just does not seem right to me for them to be able to pull athletes from anywhere in the world and compete against teams that must play kids who live in the area. or am i missing something here?

You're missing nothing. THAT is the problem with privates in UIL.
24 over par Posted March 14, 2009 Report Posted March 14, 2009 personally glad they lost no place in the uil for the recruiters
Guest aschrapps Posted March 15, 2009 Report Posted March 15, 2009 so lets kick port arthur memorial out of the uil for recruiting than. im so sick of hearing people complain about strake recruiting...
BLUEDOVE3 Posted March 16, 2009 Report Posted March 16, 2009 The only time recruiting in high school becomes a problem is when the program is successful. I've seen teams with all kinds of talent. Teams had winning seasons but never could get past post season play. Oh yeah, middle schools are recruiting but thats kind of down low right now.
