The Lamar University baseball team played its first road game after a 16-game season-opening homestand and suffered a 10-2 loss Friday to Central Arkansas in Conway, Ark.

The Cardinals won 14 of those 16 home games and ascended to a No. 23 national ranking, according to Collegiate Baseball newspaper.

But Friday, Central Arkansas starter Jeremy Cloud handcuffed LU to just two extra-base hits and tossed his second straight complete game.
