Guest Orangeboy Posted March 15, 2009 Report Posted March 15, 2009 Seems like overall, teams in our area are much more even than they have been in years past. Makes for some great games.
whynotus Posted March 16, 2009 Report Posted March 16, 2009 kingwood park is 9-1 and has already beat dayton and vidor pretty handily where are they?
Guest tigersvoice Posted March 16, 2009 Report Posted March 16, 2009 kingwood park is 9-1 and has already beat dayton and vidor pretty handily where are they? In Kingwood, Dude! Kingwood is the huge development just North of Humble on U.S. 59.
whynotus Posted March 17, 2009 Report Posted March 17, 2009 where are they on your top ten list i meant? not even in with hardin, jasper or kirbyville ???
AggiesAreWe Posted March 17, 2009 Report Posted March 17, 2009 KP should be considered, but admin may not consider them to be in our area, therefore that's why they are not in the polls.

Let's look at their record: PNG W-Kelly, Merryville, Christian Life, Barbers Hill, Nederland L- Kaplan, LA, Sulphur, La, Sulphur, Spring, Sterling, Westfield, Galveston Ball, LCM We have them at 3. Could be an argument for West Brook to jump them. They have beat Nederland and Barbers Hill, we feel they are a little deeper than HF.Â
Guest rykerx144 Posted March 24, 2009 Report Posted March 24, 2009 i would consider kp more in the houston area rather than setx area. I know they play some area teams but too far to consider them part of setx
crabtrri Posted March 24, 2009 Report Posted March 24, 2009 i would consider kp more in the houston area rather than setx area. I know they play some area teams but too far to consider them part of setx KP is in the same district with BH, Dayton and Crosby. Doesnt make sense to leave them out. But thats ok at least we know we are somewhere in the mix of the best teams in the area.
adminbaberuth Posted March 24, 2009 Author Report Posted March 24, 2009 BH KP Dayton Goose Creek Crosby CE King GP N Forest Would love to add some of these teams into top 10. I've seen barbers hill and crosby and that's it. 1. Bridge City (12-2-1) – Run rules Westlake, Hardin-Jeff & Silsbee for real 2. I like Crosby, competed well in LCM tournment, where do they fall? Does Goose Creek or Dayton beat these top 10? Let's hear it.

Friday's marque games: PNG vs Vidor / Orangefield vs Hardin-Jefferson / Dayton vs Crosby
Gabe Posted March 25, 2009 Report Posted March 25, 2009 OF should sky rocket admin. How far will LCM fall? Nederladn should rise too. Next week's poll should be a lot different I'm sure. You do a great job admin.
braves24 Posted March 25, 2009 Report Posted March 25, 2009 I think OF and Fannet should swap, and I think Ned should move up IMO
NHS83LU87 Posted March 26, 2009 Report Posted March 26, 2009 KP should be considered, but admin may not consider them to be in our area, therefore that's why they are not in the polls. I have always wondered where the boundaries for this area should be? Some schools want to be considered in the Greater Houston Area polls and also be in the Southeast Texas Polls. Â
Guest rambleonus Posted March 26, 2009 Report Posted March 26, 2009 This is a tuff question. I think if a district touches the setx area it should cover and consider all teams in the district. I think its hard to get an accurate accounting of the district when only a couple of teams are covered in it.
adminbaberuth Posted March 28, 2009 Author Report Posted March 28, 2009 1. Bridge City (14-2-1, 2-0) – Beat HJ 4-3 and Silsbee 4-3 2. LC-M (12-9, 3-1) – Lost to Ned 7-4 , beat Livingston 11-4 3. PN-G (7-8, 3-1) – Beat Livingston 10-0 and Vidor 11-3 4. West Brook (9-9, 3-2) – Beat Sterling 11-0 / lost to North Shore 6-4 5. Hamshire-Fannett (13-3, 1-1) – lost to OF 12-9 / beat WOS 10-1 6. Nederland (7-7, 3-1) –Beat LCM 7-4 and Central 13-1 7. Vidor (9-4, 3-1) – Beat Ozen 9-0 , lost to PNG 11-3 8. Dayton (10-5, 2-1) – Beat North Forrest 10-0 / Crosby  9. Barbers Hill (11-6, 3-1) – Beat KP 4-1, lost Goose Creek 6-2 10. Orangefield (15-5, 2-0) –Beat HF 12-9 and HJ 6-2 Jasper Bulldogs (9-4, 3-2) Beat Rusk 10-0 and Lufkin Pollack 7-2 Buna Cougars (6-6, 3-0) Beat Hemphill 14-2 / Deweyville Evadale Rebels (8-2-1, 4-0) Beat High Island 6-5 / Big Sandy We have a 4 way tie in 4A: LCM, Nederland, PNG and Vidor, all 3-1 in district. Who's the best team at this point ?. LCM's Brown beats PNG but loses to Ned. PNG's Spikes beats Vidor with Hester and Nederland. Nederland's Bellow beats LCM. In 3A, top rank BC squeezes by HJ and Silsbee, both 4-3 scores. Cards make 2 errors total in two games, strikeout 5 times total and score only 8 runs for the week, give up 6. Orangefield and Hamshire-Fannett score 18 and 19 runs for the week. At this point who is in your top 10 ?
adminbaberuth Posted March 29, 2009 Author Report Posted March 29, 2009 Wish we could get some talk here. Is BC still the best team in the area with no one leading in any hitting category? We have a 4 way tie for 1st in 4A. Would LCM beat PNG with Spikes on the mound? Does Nederland have the best staff in the area with Bellow, Dean and Laird ? Will Sims step up against a dangerous LCM lineup? Orangefield may have the best hitting team in the area.
sportsdad81 Posted March 29, 2009 Report Posted March 29, 2009 BC still #no 1 at least when Hicks is pitching. OF comes close with Felts pitching,Of is hitting better

Don't forget about Lumberton admin. They have played one less district game but their only loss was a 1-0 loss to Vidor. This team could be a spoiler in 20-4a. They have the tough part of their schedule coming up but don't be suprised if they knock off one of the big 4. Should be a 5 way tie for 1st after tommorrow.

If they sneak a win between the big 3, it would make it interesting.
