SETXsports Baseball Top 10 (May 10, 2009)...FINAL POLL

Recommended Posts

ha ha look at our record and who we have played and then say how average we are

i have seen you play, I'm not impressed, Fielding's OK , pitching is definitely no better than Evadale.

you are a very scrappy team though!

The mentality of we're 3A so we are better than you has got to go!

Reasons for my moves

Lcm lookin stronger than nederland at the moment

Jasper dropped both games this wk

orangefield takin one oftwo so I thought both dropped bh is lookin strong so I added them and dropped wb cuz at the number 9 spot they lost both games.

I moved dayton up because they blanked a decent galena park team 6-0 last wk then run ruled two second place teams in consecutive games 17-2 over ce king and 11-1 over kp

Huffman not sure how strong their district is

Re-cap

Looks like BC will stay at the top, beat a very good team in HF. New kid Kellogg tied in team hr's, played in 4 of BC's 21 games........PNG's bats go cold, Spikes has rough outing in lost to LCM.......Nederland goes 7 with Ozen and 10 run rules Lumberton, go figure. Bellow's best hurler in district?.......LCM peaking at right time, Brown and Waddel tough tandem. Thompson clutch, Cloren coming on.......HF tough lost to BC, Pinder,Minaldi and Eaves having great year, Johnson unbeaten........Huffman just rolling through that district with MVP Henk.......Jasper wondering would be any different battling BC, HF and OF instead of Carthage and Lufkin Hudson........OF can hit with anyone, Statum tough out......Westbrook short Svoboda, feeling it.........Dayton is tough district but leading, Smnesy the key

Let's get some more top 10 from the baseball crowd before we post our new top 10.

    • SMH Silsbee will not tank against WO-S. Just won't happen. Mustangs were just that much better than Silsbee. Besides, #3 seed basically has to play the same teams as #2 seed other than first round. From what I saw with Sweeny and Brookshire, BR was the better team than Sweeny.
    • For sure.  They can take it to anyone if they want it, and if they play with the intensity that they had last Thursday.  Last Thursday game reminded me of the last 2 season's teams.
    • The numbers on those charts reflect all age groups and not just HS age Students. Another thing to remember,  some parents of school age kids might work in neighboring districts and choose to have their child in the district they are employed.  Not always the case but it is something to remember
    • We have a new apartments complex being built in Mont Belvieu. You’re going to need to update that chart.😂
