Cardinal Supporter Posted March 16, 2009 Report Posted March 16, 2009 I would love to if I can get away. I live in BC and I am going through rebuilding my house. I would prefer fresh water. I know it probably would be Rayburn, which is very good, but, I rather Toledo because I have a camp there.
thetragichippy Posted March 17, 2009 Author Report Posted March 17, 2009 Looks like freshwater has the lead............
Guest beat-em_deep Posted March 17, 2009 Report Posted March 17, 2009 freshwater hopefully will keep the lead!!
thetragichippy Posted March 18, 2009 Author Report Posted March 18, 2009 Freshwater still in the lead
thetragichippy Posted March 19, 2009 Author Report Posted March 19, 2009 Come on people, not much activity. We can't have a tourney with just 8 people!
westend1 Posted March 19, 2009 Report Posted March 19, 2009 We couldn't even put togethor a fish dinner. How are we supposed to get enough for a fishing tourney?
thetragichippy Posted March 19, 2009 Author Report Posted March 19, 2009 I think the regulars need to get more involved.......hint hint hint Â
thetragichippy Posted March 20, 2009 Author Report Posted March 20, 2009 Thanks TVC...........looks like we got 9 votes. I'm gettin the feeling not many people want a tourney. Well, if this does not work at..................mini tourney at my cam on Toledo maybe?? ;D
thetragichippy Posted March 23, 2009 Author Report Posted March 23, 2009 11 voting so far and freshwater has lead.
GTfootball Posted March 23, 2009 Report Posted March 23, 2009 ill fish it...salt or fresh..either one would be fun..heck maybe we could do 2 tourneys and have a points system..half the tourney be salt and half fresh..

I personally think this idea is great. I used to be a freshy but I am a pure salty now! Don't have a boat, but i know a few people and I've got the trusty ol kayak if need be!
thetragichippy Posted March 24, 2009 Author Report Posted March 24, 2009 Finally some response!!   ;D Looks like its a tie fresh and salt...........maybe 2 tourneys???
Guest beat-em_deep Posted March 24, 2009 Report Posted March 24, 2009 ahh dang lol i want a freshwater cause i know the old man wont let me even think about putting the ranger in salt water!!!
thetragichippy Posted March 25, 2009 Author Report Posted March 25, 2009 Kinda strange, 14 Yes, 0 No.......and 8 fresh + 7 salt = 15. My first survey, give me a break!
gator97 Posted April 1, 2009 Report Posted April 1, 2009 freshwater would be good right now with the spawning bass
tvc184 Posted April 1, 2009 Report Posted April 1, 2009 freshwater would be good right now with the spawning bass If it's done fairly quickly.
thetragichippy Posted April 1, 2009 Author Report Posted April 1, 2009 freshwater would be good right now with the spawning bass If it's done fairly quickly. tvc is right. 2 weeks ago I seen fish on beds............last weekend after 5 inches of rain and the cold front, fish got deep again. I caught a few fish in 12 foot of water on Sunday. This week they should be back spawning...............the prime is in the next few weeks. It will taper from there.....
LongLiveDavis Posted April 1, 2009 Report Posted April 1, 2009 Im in college a pretty good ways away, but if the pieces fit together right BigDaddyDAVE and I would be more than happy to participate. Freshwater all the way, saltwater has to much of a variety of fish to catch and who is to say whether it would be a redfish or trout tourny.
Guest beat-em_deep Posted April 2, 2009 Report Posted April 2, 2009 I like fresh and even if its after spawn during post spawn just drag a carolina rig off deep points and brush piles and you can catch em!
thetragichippy Posted April 2, 2009 Author Report Posted April 2, 2009 I like fresh and even if its after spawn during post spawn just drag a carolina rig off deep points and brush piles and you can catch em! Last year I carolina rigged a deep diver crank bait..........used a 1 ounce weight and adjusted leader to about 4 ft off bottom. It makes the crank bait stay there because it floats......works well in the summer
