Guest coachacola Posted March 16, 2009 Report Posted March 16, 2009 Still ranked, but barely. http://www.beaumontenterprise.com/sports/local/lamar_baseball_ranked_no__29_nationally_03-16-2009.html Boyd's World Iterative Strength Ratings: Division I Overall Rank Rating W L W L SoS Team 39 115.4 10 6 10 6 30 Texas-San Antonio 46 113.2 13 5 13 5 118 Sam Houston State 58 111.4 10 6 10 6 66 Southeastern Louisiana 65 110.3 15 4 15 4 205 Lamar 84 107.5 10 6 10 6 130 Texas State 108 105.3 10 6 10 6 167 Central Arkansas http://www.boydsworld.com/baseball/isr/currentisr.html
TexasTerror Posted March 16, 2009 Report Posted March 16, 2009 SHSU is heading in the right direction with SOS...thanks for posting. Love Boyd's World! Lamar SOS in OOC last year was 132. TXST was 17, UTSA was 20, Arlington was 23, SHSU was 42, SFA was 48...A&M was 50. To the fans who did not believe that LU continually has a weak OOC - there you go. The other Texas schools were far ahead of LU, that's one year. LU ranks near the end in year's prior too.
Gtj007 Posted March 16, 2009 Report Posted March 16, 2009 Who cares??? Lamar still won their Division in Conference.
TexasTerror Posted March 16, 2009 Report Posted March 16, 2009 Who cares??? Lamar still won their Division in Conference. Psst...there are no divisions in baseball!
UNLV Posted March 17, 2009 Report Posted March 17, 2009 Each has its own sos. The we played earlier, Columbia, at the time had a rpi of 26. Yet in other polls they weren't near the top. Terror choses the polls that favors his hate for LU. Even katfans had to tell him to end his obsession with Lamar... take a look.... This is the hidden content, please Sign In or Sign Up

This is the hidden content, please Sign In or Sign Up Next time - send me to the proper link. If you did, you'd of seen there was one "table" for baseball and no divisions. becktobigs Posted March 17, 2009 Report Posted March 17, 2009 The guy who bores us with news of a team no one cares about (or should) is right. There ARE no divisions this year. There WERE divisions last year. That is why conference is already two weeks old--they're all scheduled to play 33 games.
Gtj007 Posted March 17, 2009 Report Posted March 17, 2009 I said Lamar won their Division LAST YEAR. Look at the season ending standings from 2008, it includes Standings. This is the hidden content, please Sign In or Sign Up
Guest baseball25 Posted March 17, 2009 Report Posted March 17, 2009 Did Lamar make it to regionals last year NOOOOO thats all it matters...
Gtj007 Posted March 18, 2009 Report Posted March 18, 2009 I agree that Lamar should make it to Regionals every couple of years. To think that they will every year is ridiculous. The Southland is a pretty good baseball Conference. I was trying to make a point to TT that even though Lamar's SOS in pre-conference games is not as strong as other Southland teams, they still finish high in the conference standings from year to year.
