JoshD Posted March 17, 2009 Report Posted March 17, 2009 should be an awesome fight and atmosphere as both of these fighters have huge fanbases probably the biggest boxing event of the year in terms of interest, although right now I think the Marquez vs Diaz has been the best fight of the year so far. The betting odds will probably favor the Pac Man but I think Hatton will pull it off. He's naturally bigger and stronger, and has a style that can wear people down. People think Pacman wont be at a strength or size disadvantage because of the way he dominated De La Hoya at welterweight, but De La Hoya was clearly weight drained and only a shell of his former self. In my opinion this is Pacman's strongest opponent and biggest test because Hatton always makes 140 and shows up strong and ready to fight. Can't wait for this one! ;D But to be honest, I hate to see either guy lose!
Guest baseball25 Posted March 18, 2009 Report Posted March 18, 2009 Mayweather outbox Hatton and I think Pac man will do the same thing.......Say what you want about Oscar.... Pac man flat out dominated him.....Yeah Oscar was Drained but I don't think it would have matter. I mean steve forbes swelled up oscar face and hit him with alot of punches so I think age caught up with Oscar quick...But Manny hasn't gotten better in the last 2 years with angles, and foot speed. Mayweather vs Manny will be the next big fight........Mayweather can't turn that kind of money..
JoshD Posted March 18, 2009 Author Report Posted March 18, 2009 I think Mayweather would beat Pacman easily. Although he hasn't fought in a while and if he fought pacman without a tuneup then that would definitely be in Pac's favor. Hatton likes to smother guys and fight in close, while Pacman needs distance to land his straight left. If Pac uses his speed advantage and times hatton coming in then he'll have success. But at the same time Hatton has been training with Mayweather Sr. and should have better head movement and use his jab more. Not sure if Pacman's power will keep Hatton off of him, but we just have to wait and see. Definitely an intriguing fight. ;D
