Here's the story from kbmt12.com:

The Lamar University mystery donor has been announced to be Dan F. Smith an alumnus from 1969. Smith was a chemical engineering major.

Smith is giving Lamar $5 million to the college of engineering and the university in honor of the donation will name the department for him.

In addition Smith is giving $1 million to the football program and the new press box will be name after him and his wife.

Initially the university announced that the donation would be the largest in the institutions history. However, just before the time of the announcement the university informed KBMT 12 News ABC/NBC that it was not the largest donation in history.

Ha Ha KP, that is funny but I don't think they'll be naming restrooms after donors but I think there is still one major area which could be named after someone and that is the training facility.

Now that is a good one!  However, I would rather one of the commodes be named after him so patrons can pay more suitable homage to him!
