About a year ago I stocked my pond with catfish and hybrid bream. Well, here I am throwing everything out there and I haven't had the first bite! What am I doing wrong people?

How big were the bream when you stocked it? How large is your pond? Have you seen any dead fish? has your pond ever flooded or spilled over(hurricane Ike?). Does your pond have grass or moss?  You could also set a trout line and see if you can catch a catfish.  Also, how deep?

I haven't put much thought into it, just passing time on the boards. I would say the bream were 3 or 4 inches and they were due to be 2 pounds and hungry by now I expect. There were only a few floaters when I stocked it with a copious amount of fish. As far as size I would say an acre ranging from 4 to 20 ft deep. Flooding, overflow, and drought have not affected it at all.

Set you up a directional feeder, its the time if the yr they will start using it. If you havn't started feeding them yet, you mite get some PVC, make a circle about 15-20' across and feed inside if the pipe until you have them feeding regular, then remove pipe, the pipe keeps the feed inside so as to not float off before they get it. It also helps if you feed at a regular time dailey...
