CL45 Posted March 24, 2009 Report Posted March 24, 2009 This game is keepin me on the edge of my seat.
HF1 Posted March 24, 2009 Report Posted March 24, 2009 the worst thing about that game is that the ss eaves hits a home run and the home plate unpire calls it fouls.....seconds after that the umpire in the field comes to the hamshire fannett doug out and says....i quote "that was a nice shot number 2 that ball was fair by 20 feet"......thats smells like a little BS to me guys
hfbaseball11 Posted March 24, 2009 Report Posted March 24, 2009 Yes, there were a few terrible calls in this ball game.
bobcatpapa Posted March 24, 2009 Report Posted March 24, 2009 20 feet i don't think so. ??? it might help the umpires out if there was a foul pole on the right field fence line. congratulations OF great win.
AggiesAreWe Posted March 24, 2009 Author Report Posted March 24, 2009 I will say this, from my viewpoint from the pressbox, it was fair. But, it doesn't matter how I see it.
HFfan2009 Posted March 25, 2009 Report Posted March 25, 2009 20 feet i don't think so. ??? it might help the umpires out if there was a foul pole on the right field fence line. congratulations OF great win. umm there is a foul pole the right feild fence is forty feet high if you need a foul pole any higher than that you need to pack up you stuff and go home
MLG66 Posted March 25, 2009 Report Posted March 25, 2009 20 feet i don't think so. ??? it might help the umpires out if there was a foul pole on the right field fence line. congratulations OF great win. Looking straight down the 1st base line I could see the ball was definitely fair then after it passed the fence it blew foul. the worst umpire I've ever seen.
MrUmp1 Posted March 25, 2009 Report Posted March 25, 2009 I wasn't in this game but my experience from calling at many different parks is a foul pole that extends a good distance above the fence is quite helpful. Having that standing alone gives a much better perspective about where the ball is when it is crossing the fence. Untill you been there and have to make that call close to the line, be careful about packing stuff and heading home.
East TX Posted March 25, 2009 Report Posted March 25, 2009 This exciting game once again proves that it will be a dogfight till the end for who represents 21-3A in the playoffs. I would think that no team can go undefeated through the District race; everyone has a bad night somewhere along the way.
BigTuna Posted March 25, 2009 Report Posted March 25, 2009 So it took Statum and Felts to beat Hamshire??? Any errors made in this one?
AggiesAreWe Posted March 25, 2009 Author Report Posted March 25, 2009 So it took Statum and Felts to beat Hamshire??? Any errors made in this one? What kind of question is that? I believe it took more than those two players to win the game. Yes, there were errors made by both teams. It's called HIGH SCHOOL BASEBALL!
