AggiesAreWe Posted March 29, 2009 Report Posted March 29, 2009 When Syracuse rolled over Stephen F. Austin last week, it dropped the Southland Conference’s all-time record in the NCAA tournament to 10-33. Lamar is responsible for exactly half of the SLC’s 10 tourney victories, but doesn’t have one since routing Alabama in 1983. Three of the other five wins belong to the Karl Malone teams at Louisiana Tech. Northwestern State is responsible for the remaining two, although one of them was in a play-in game . Only three SLC schools have won at the NCAA's.
TexasTerror Posted March 29, 2009 Report Posted March 29, 2009 Some of the SLC members do have proud Division II and NAIA accomplishments! SLC also has had a Final Four participant in women's hoops. ;D
