Guest patriot117 Posted March 31, 2009 Report Posted March 31, 2009 The young Patriots were the model of inconsistency following Fridays win vs Barbers Hill. Cody Butler takes the loss for GCM going 2 innings. Butler struggled with his control and the walks would help GP post a 4 spot in the 3rd inning. Michael Martinez would come on in relief, but his control was not much better. Dalton Going would get the Patriots out of the inning. The Yellow Jackets would again take advantage of Going's 2 hit batters and put up 3 insurance runs in the 6th. GP hit the ball on the button all night and took advantage of not only poor pitching, but would capitalize on 4 GCM errors. Butler would hit his 2nd homer of the year with a solo shot in the top of the 6th. Brandon Rhoden would finish the night 2 for 4. GCM will try again on Friday as they take on C E King at home.
